This week in Year 1, the children have been thoroughly enjoying reading Leaf by Sandra Dickemann. As part of their learning, the children worked on writing a persuasive argument for and against helping the polar bear get home. They carefully considered all sides of the issue, weighing the pros and cons, and making sure to present a balanced argument. After thinking critically about the situation, the children concluded with their own opinion. It was an engaging way to tie in creativity with critical thinking!
