Parent's Coffee Morning

The value of play

This week, we had a coffee morning with our CAMHS Outreach worker. The focus was on the value of play to help with the building of relationships, containment, emotional regulation, social skills, communication and problem-solving. One parent said, “I’m always learning something here and taking it home.” The parents talked about the different games that they played when they were children and how important it is to pass these games onto their own children. The parents generated a list of 21 games with most incurring little to no cost!

Look out for our coffee mornings which are taking place in the summer term, as we have quite a few planned!
