Continuing in Science, this week the children used their knowledge of classification to research animal groups in more depth.  Children were able to pick an animal group of their choice, focussing on the divisions based on evolutionary relationships and shared characteristics within the group.  They also took a deeper look at Genus, which is a taxonomic rank used in biological classification, placing related species together.
