Maths Week at St Joseph's
This week we celebrated Maths Week. We took part in workshops where our parents and carers were invited in to complete Maths activities in the hall with us. We were able to showcase our rapid number recall skills as well as our problem solving.
We were able to show that Maths does not have to be done in a book using pencil and paper but can be applied to real-life instances and can be done practically. We played the Hoop game where we had to throw beanbags into hoops (each hoop was worth a different number of points) and we had to add up our scores mentally.
We also created funny faces using shapes and created our own 3D shapes using nets.
We loved being able to play games and apply our learning and are looking forward to the NSPCC number Day on 4th February 2023.
