The Birdman visits St Joseph's

Today has been a day to remember! The wonderful birdman came into school today to show and share amazing facts about a Hawk, Bald Eagle and Barn Owl. The children learnt about the talent of the Hawk and the technique it uses to catch its prey.  They also learnt that the Barn Owl has two ears, at the sides of his head and behind the eyes. The children watched the Barn Owl fly over everyone and they were able to listen to how silent his wings were.

Many children had the opportunity to take their photograph holding one of the birds. 

We all had so much fun and learnt so much about birds!
