This week, Year 1 have been exploring repeating rhythmic patterns using contrasting sounds.  As part of our learning, we listened to a piece of music by the composer Carl Orff, which inspired us to think about rhythm and texture in music.  We then worked in small groups to create our own pieces of music using a variety of instruments.  The children had great fun experimenting with different sounds and worked collaboratively to perform their rhythmic patterns to the class.  It was wonderful to see their creativity and confidence shine through!
