In addition to our artwork and writing for the Black History Month Exhibition, Year 5 also wrote inspirational poems, based on celebrating black history and important figures, such as Mary Secole, Paul Stephenson and Martin Luther King.  Performing these poems was the most exciting part, as the children used their hands as a puppet, making eyes on sticky labels, and then recorded their voice as their hand "performed" the poem on video.
