This half-term our class book is “The Tunnel” by Anthony Browne.  The children looked at the front cover of the book and predicted what it would be like to go through a tunnel.  They then generated a list of vocabulary to describe what it would be like in the tunnel.  They then took turns going through the tunnel to experience the feeling for themselves.  The children then wrote a paragraph to describe the journey through the tunnel utilising the word-bank they had collated.  They took turns to read their work to the class.
