Remembrance Day Assembly
A solemn assembly
November is the month of Remembrance. We think of those who have lost, and continue to lose, their lives in wars. We also think of the faithful departed and remember them in our prayers during this special month.
All children participated in making a poppy display out of the bottom of bottles. Children painted them red, and they were used as red petals.
Today, we held a service in school to recognise the end of the war in Europe. All children were given a poppy to wear and Mrs Weston, in the office, made a wreath. A two-minute silence was held and all the children were impeccably well-behaved and showed great respect. Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend.
