As we come to the end of the first term, it is great to share more of the children’s wonderful work from Year 5. Linking our art work with the story we’ve been reading in English, Street Child by Berlie Doherty, the children developed their drawing skills to draw a scene in perspective. Set in Victorian London, Street Child tells the story of Jim, who escapes a workhouse, only to find himself working for a man called Grimy Nick shovelling coal. However, he escapes again and tries to reunite with his lost sisters. We are just about to read the final pages before breaking up for Christmas!
