This week, Year 1 have been incredibly busy and have taken part in lots of exciting activities! We started the week with a special trip to the cinema alongside Years 2–6. The children showed excellent behaviour throughout and really enjoyed the experience of watching a film together on the big screen.  We also took part in an important road safety workshop, where the children learned how to stay safe when near roads. They listened carefully, joined in with discussions, and showed a good understanding of how to cross the road safely and the importance of being aware of their surroundings.  Later in the week, part of St Joseph’s Day we attended whole school Mass. The children were respectful and thoughtful, joining in beautifully with the prayers and hymns. It was lovely to see them take part so sensibly in this special time together as a school community.  To celebrate such an amazing week and all of the children’s hard work, we finished with some extra playtime. The children thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to relax, play with their friends, and have fun together.  Well done, Year 1, for such a fantastic week!
