This term in English, Year 6 pupils are studying documentaries by David Attenborough. They are exploring his descriptive style in preparation for writing their own piece about an animal in action.  This week, the children focused on generating powerful and engaging vocabulary to describe their chosen animal. They used thesauruses to up-level their word choices and make their descriptions more vivid and precise. By next week, they will apply these skills to write their own Attenborough-style description.
