Friday 17th April 2026

On the first Wednesday of every new half-term, we all have a Problem-Solving Wednesday session at the start of our maths lessons that day.  This term, we began with a game of “Guess What?” A bit like Guess Who, we chose a shape (rather than a person) and answered questions yes or no. Our shapes ranged from cubes and cones to hexagonal-based pyramids and prisms! The children were very clever in asking questions like, “Does your shape have an odd number of vertices?” rather than just guessing, “Is it a cuboid?”
