This week, pupils were introduced to their new class text, Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl. To deepen their understanding of the story, children worked in small groups to bring a chosen scene to life through drama, taking on the roles of the characters within it.  Through their performances, pupils demonstrated a strong ability to infer characters' feelings and behaviour, using tone of voice, facial expression and body language to convey emotions that weren't explicitly stated in the text. Each group then performed their scene in front of the class, showing confidence and creativity in their interpretations.
