Grandparent’s Day was on Sunday 4th October.  We sometimes forget how much support grandparents give our families, quietly helping out where necessary.  So, to honour these very important individuals, today, we invited all grandparents (or people who are regarded as grandparents) into school to have lunch with their grandchildren. 

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and some new grandparents.  Feedback was very positive, with grandparents saying that it was a fantastic idea as it gave them an idea to see their grandchildren in a school setting.  One grandparent said that it “...took them back many years.”
