This week in Year 5 we had the Co Crew/ Bonanza Creative come to our school to carry out a workshop about CO. We learnt about what a good healthy flame and a bad flame looks like. This week we started our new topic in P.E. We were learning about gymnastics and worked in pairs to create three counterbalanced moves. We then performed them for our class.

This week, the children have been finalising their catching games. We managed to complete our game, allowing the sprite to catch an object and give us a score! We had so much fun and spent time playing our game.

This week, Year 5 have been learning about neurodiversity, and we researched dyspraxia.  We all picked a different activity to contribute to our class book. We have a range of drawings, poems, posters and stories that we can't wait to share with everyone at St. Joseph's!

This week, in Year 5, we have been looking into the book Beowulf.  We were inspired to create a character description of a mythical creature that we created.  We had fun being imaginative and next week we will develop our writing further. 

Today in Year 5 we were learning about children's rights. We discussed and understood the importance of having the freedom of thought, expression and the right to education.  We then created a poster and drew pictures which we will display in the classroom.
