Every day after lunch, St Clare class spends time reading for pleasure. We read a variety of things, from fictional story books and picture books, to First News newspapers, The Phoenix comic and - our favourite - The Guinness Book of World Records. We have found that reading helps us with our own punctuation and widens our vocabulary.
Caleb says, “It’s very nice to read because we get to have time to read stories and learn new things. At the moment, I am reading Phoenix Comics.
“I enjoy reading things that are true events,” says Aria. “My current book is My Soul, a shining tree, by Jamila Gavin.
David says, “Reading can inspire us to write stories of our own.”
