Tuna wraps for tea tonight
This week in cooking club, the children made tuna, sweetcorn mayo wraps with salad. To prepare, we used scissors to cut the spring onion and chopped the cucumber into slices and then quartered them. We emptied the tinned tuna into a mixing bowl and added the spring onion, sweetcorn, cucumber and added some mixed herbs, garlic powder and a small amount of salt. We mixed well and then added some mayonnaise.
Mrs Weston showed us how to assemble the wraps using flour tortillas. We cut them diagonally like the deli shops, and packaged them in our containers. As there was some left over, we made wraps for Miss Maciejewski and Miss Harvey. They both said it was delicious. Next week we will be a bit more adventurous and make chicken spring rolls.
