This week was National Storytelling Week and our school was buzzing with a love of books and stories. Children enjoyed sharing and listening to stories together in class.  As well as this week being National storytelling week, it was also, World Read Aloud Day on Wednesday.  Staff and children took the opportunity to read aloud to pupils in other year groups, building confidence and a real sense of community. We also asked parents, grandparents and other family members to record themselves reading a book out loud. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in videos of themselves reading their favourite stories. These were a joy to watch throughout the school and really helped bring storytelling to life for the children. It has been a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination, and the power of sharing stories together.
