This week, the children began reading their class core reading text, The Boy Who Grew Dragons, written by Andy Shepherd. The children made predictions about a story based on clues from the front cover, title, and illustrations.  The children also explored words and phrases from the book to predict what type of story it might be by applying knowledge of similar stories or genres to predict outcomes.
