This week in English, Year 6 worked collaboratively in groups to explore key themes in Roald Dahl's suspenseful story - The Landlady.  After reading and discussing the text together, pupils used evidence from the story to identify important ideas such as deception, trust and appearance versus reality.  This helped the pupils to deepen their understanding of how authors use subtle clues to hint at deeper meanings.
