This week in Geography, Year 6 learnt about tectonic plates and developed their understanding of the three different ways that tectonic plates move. They explored how each type of movement can lead to a different natural disaster, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis. To consolidate their learning, pupils drew labelled diagrams to illustrate each type of plate movement and wrote descriptions explaining how the plates move and the natural disasters that can result from each movement.
