This week, the children have learnt about shape nets and how they can be made into a 3D shape. The children worked in pairs to carefully cut out the net and construct it into a cube, cuboid, cone, cylinder, triangular prism, square-based prism or a pentagonal prism. 

In English, we have started to explore our brilliant, new text, The Boy Who Grew Dragons, by Andy Shepherd. The children have already made a great start with predictions and written lists of 'Pros and Cons' of why a dragon would make a good pet. We are busy reading through the chapters with anticipation of the main character, Tomas. Will he be able to keep his pet dragon a secret from his parents and friends?
